(Not Really a...) Dog Beach
There are a handful of "official" dog beaches in the Kings Beach/Tahoe Vista area. But what if you just want to take a little afternoon dip without getting in the car and don't mind going a teeny bit rogue? The end of Secline Avenue is a nice place for a quick dunk. Officially, there are no dogs allowed but, for whatever reason, there are always dogs here. We decided to risk it. Our black lab Oliver is not a big fan of water, but Anaya is determined to "train" him how to swim. On a recent hot afternoon, the lessons began. The rest of the family waded and swam out into the shallow water, while Oliver did his best to avoid swim school.
